Filing, amending, and monitoring for compliance a number of assigned MDNR/EPA Water Pollution Control Grants, review and issue Federal Register Information which may impact on the Department's responsibilities relative to Water Supply and Pollution Control. Prepare and issue guidance, procedures to Department personnel relating to the management of grants. Develop procedures and step-by-step flow chart for monitoring the authorization of funds by the City Council. Prepare quarterly reports for Corps of Engineers based on expenditures on EPA Outlay Report, revise a variety of manuals utilized in the department or section. Specific assignments as requested by Section and Unit Head and the Deputy Director.
Assist in the preparation of specific portions of grant applications and amendments relative to DWSD projects; subject work assignments, with technical phases of the work subject to review during the process or on completion, but with responsibility for the technical correctness of the work in the preparation of grant applications, amendments and monitoring, reviewing grants for fiscal and regulatory compliance; review and summarization of federal register and other publications.
